SHARON, Pa. — Accounting professor Sabrin Stewart will discuss corporate tax policy and cryptocurrency at Penn State Shenango at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.
During the discussion, which is part of the Faculty Lecture Series, Stewart will break down what business owners need to know about taxes. She will also discuss how businesses should prepare for the tax implications of cryptocurrency.
“Various stakeholders are increasingly turning their attention to cryptocurrencies in business, creating the need for comprehensive tax legislation,” Stewart said. “As cryptocurrencies continue to evolve and organizations adopt them as payment methods, there are calls for digital currencies to be accounted for in a standard financial reporting framework.”
The conference is free and open to the public, but registration is required. HERE. For more information, call Tasha Lambert at 724 983 2825.
